ITINERARY
Day 1 - Depart New York (JFK) for Israel.
Day 2 - Tel-Aviv: Upon arrival at Ben Gurion Airport. Transfer to your hotel, where the remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure. A stroll is suggested along the beautiful beachfront promenade while enjoying the refreshing air and surf. Overnight in Tel-Aviv.
Day 3 - Tel-Aviv/Jaffa/Tel-Aviv: After breakfast, we visit the Old Port City of Jaffa (Yafo), south of Tel-Aviv for a beautiful panoramic view of Tel-Aviv and a sense of the first Jewish city of the modern era, established in 1909. Next we will visit Independence Hall and Neve Tzedek. Return to the hotel, where the remainder of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Tel-Aviv.
Day 4 - Tel-Aviv/Caesarea, Haifa & Nazareth Drive to visit the ancient city of Caesarea, built by Herod the Great and once the seat of Roman rule. Then we’ll arrive to Haifa and ascend Mt. Carmel for a panoramic view of Haifa Bay and the beautiful Bahai Gardens with its impressive temples. Drive to Nazareth, boyhood home of Jesus. Overnight Nazareth.
Day 5 - Nazareth, Galilee, Capernaum & Tabgha We’ll tour Nazareth, the boyhood home of Jesus. We then tour the Sea of Galilee with a visit to winery and a boat ride plus visit to Capernaum; where a 2nd century synagogue was discovered. According to the Christian tradition, Jesus served here as a local rabbi and performed miracles. Then it’s on to Mount Beatitudes, North of the Sea of Galilee. Atop the Beatitudes Mount, lies a beautiful church with a view of the northern part of Sea of Galilee and including Tabgha and Capernaum. Next we go to Tabgha to the Church of the Multiplication, the traditional site of the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes and the third resurrection appearance of Jesus. Drive to Jerusalem, passing Jericho, Judean Desert and Mount of Temptation. We stop at the Western (Wailing) Wall in Jerusalem before checking into our hotel. Overnight Jerusalem.
Day 6-8 - Spend your time in Jerusalem visiting its many important sites; there are optional tours available from our reservations staff to most of them. One includes Masada and the Dead Sea.
Day 9 Transfer to the airport for our flights home.
Please note: Though rare, it may be necessary to substitute hotels and adjust itineraries due to local conditions.
This trip has a 3 night Eilat/Petra Extension which our staff will be happy to go over with you. Most extensions require a minimun of 2 going. $1199 double and $1499 single plus $55 border tax per person.
